Three people soundly slept in the Underground Coffeehouse. Two of them succumbed to the lush couches, and one person dozed off reading in her equally cushiony chair. Several more seemed to be struggling to stay awake.
Props to them for trying.
Students may be unaware of the comfortable places to get some shuteye on campus; the coffeehouse is just one of them.
Other locations include the usual, a library, and the unusual, a girl’s bathroom.
With Florence and The Machine crooning in the background and cozy furniture, it is hard work keeping one’s eyes open. It’s clear why they sell coffee here.
Western junior Mario Sheldon nodded toward a girl fast asleep on the couch opposite his. She was wrapped up in her raincoat that, today, doubled as a blanket.
“She was asleep when I got here,” he said.
